Shopping online in Johannesburg and Pretoria: getting your address right
A Gauteng address guide for apartments, estates, offices and deliveries across Johannesburg, Pretoria and Ekurhuleni.

A suburb matters as much as a city
For Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion, Sandton, Soweto and the cities of Ekurhuleni, enter the precise suburb and postcode. Do not replace the delivery city with a nearby better-known area just because it is easier to recognise. Use the address where the parcel will actually be received.
Complexes and office parks
A complex name without a unit number can leave the receiver unclear. Include your unit or office number, the street entrance and a contact number. If a reception desk accepts parcels, confirm that arrangement in advance and give your own name as the recipient.
Plan for a safe handover
Choose an address where someone can receive the parcel. Avoid putting personal identification numbers or gate access codes into a public review. Keep delivery instructions relevant to reaching the recipient rather than sharing unnecessary personal information.
Compare before you buy
Planet24 sellers include national transport in prices throughout Gauteng and the rest of South Africa. Check the exact product specification, seller and current order status rather than treating a nearby address as a promise of faster delivery. Online payments remain disabled until the payment provider is enabled.
